The Oṣṭras, the Puṇḍras, together with the Sairandhras and the mountain-dwelling peoples, O revered one. And there were other southern realms as well, O bull among the Bharatas.

द्रविडाः केरलाः प्राच्या भूषिका वनवासिनः । उन्नत्यका माहिषका विकल्पा मूषकास्तथा॥६-१०-५७॥
The Draviḍas, the Keralas, the easterners, the Bhūṣikas, and the forest-dwelling groups; the Unnatyakas, the Māhiṣakas, the Vikalpas, and likewise the Mūṣakas.

कर्णिकाः कुन्तिकाश्चैव सौद्भिदा नलकालकाः । कौकुट्टकास्तथा चोलाः कोङ्कणा मालवाणकाः॥६-१०-५८॥
The Karṇikas and the Kuntikas; the Saudbhidas and the Nalakālakās; the Kaukuṭṭakas, as well as the Coḷas, the Koṅkaṇas, and the Mālavāṇakas.

समङ्गाः कोपनाश्चैव कुकुराङ्गदमारिषाः । ध्वजिन्युत्सवसंकेतास्त्रिगर्ताः सर्वसेनयः॥६-१०-५९॥
The Samaṅgas and the Kopanas, and the Kukuras and Aṅgadas, O revered one; those marked by standards, festive insignia, and signals—together with the Trigartas—forming complete military contingents.

त्र्यङ्गाः केकरकाः प्रोष्ठाः परसंचरकास्तथा । तथैव विन्ध्यपुलकाः पुलिन्दाः कल्कलैः सह॥६-१०-६०॥
The Tryaṅgas, the Kekarakas, the Proṣṭhas, and likewise the Parasaṃcarakas; and also the Vindhya-Pulakas, the Pulindas, together with the Kalkalas.
