रुणद्धि सर्वतो दृष्टिं लिङ्गनाशः स उच्यते । तस्मिन्नपि तमोभूते नातिरूढे महागदे ॥१६॥

When the vision is obstructed on all sides, it is said that the person experiences *Linganasha* (loss of visual perception or sight). In this state, even though there is darkness or obscurity, the condition is not excessively aggravated or in a very severe stage.

जब दृष्टि हर तरफ से अवरुद्ध हो जाती है, तो कहा जाता है कि व्यक्ति को लिंगनाश (दृश्य बोध या दृष्टि की हानि) का अनुभव होता है। इस अवस्था में, भले ही अंधेरा या अस्पष्टता हो, लेकिन स्थिति अत्यधिक गंभीर या बहुत गंभीर अवस्था में नहीं होती है।

चन्द्रादित्यौ सनक्षत्रावन्तरीक्षे च विद्युतः । निर्मलानि च तेजांसि भ्राजिष्णूनि च पश्यति ॥१७॥

He perceives the moon and the sun, along with the stars, and lightning in the sky, as clear and bright with their radiant beams shining intensely.

वह चंद्रमा और सूर्य के साथ-साथ आकाश में तारों और बिजली को भी स्पष्ट और उज्ज्वल देखता है, जिनकी किरणें तीव्रता से चमक रही हैं।

स एव लिङ्गनाशस्तु नीलिकाकाचसञ्ज्ञितः । तत्र वातेन रूपाणि भ्रमन्तीव स पश्यति ॥१८॥

This is the very condition known as Neelika or Kachasa (a type of visual disorder), where the person perceives forms as if they are moving or revolving, seemingly blown by the wind.

यह वही स्थिति है जिसे नीलिका या कचसा (एक प्रकार का दृश्य विकार) के नाम से जाना जाता है, जिसमें व्यक्ति को ऐसी आकृतियाँ दिखाई देती हैं जैसे वे गतिशील या परिक्रमण कर रही हों, तथा ऐसा प्रतीत होता है जैसे वे हवा से उड़ रही हों।

आविलान्यरुणाभानि व्याविद्धानि च मानवः । पित्तेनादित्यखद्योतशक्रचापतडिद्गुणान् ॥१९॥

The person perceives forms that are mixed with red hues and scattered, resembling the effects of *Pitta* dosha, such as the brightness of the Sun, lightning, and the radiance of a celestial weapon like the thunderbolt.

व्यक्ति लाल रंग के मिश्रित और बिखरे हुए रूपों को देखता है, जो पित्त दोष के प्रभावों से मिलते जुलते हैं, जैसे सूर्य की चमक, बिजली और वज्र जैसे दिव्य हथियार की चमक।

शिखिबर्हविचित्राणि नीलकृष्णानि पश्यति । कफेन पश्येद्रूपाणि स्निग्धानि च सितानि च ॥२०॥

The person sees peacock-feather-like forms, varying in color, dark blue or black, and when influenced by Kapha, perceives forms that are smooth, white, and shining.

व्यक्ति को मोर पंख जैसी आकृतियां दिखाई देती हैं, जिनका रंग गहरा नीला या काला होता है, तथा जब वह कफ से प्रभावित होता है, तो उसे चिकने, सफेद और चमकदार आकृतियां दिखाई देती हैं।
