स्थूलाक्षस्त्वरितगतिः स्वफेनलेही निद्रालुः पतति च कम्पते च योऽति | यश्चाद्रिद्विरदनगादिविच्युतः सन् संसृष्टो न भवति वार्धकेन जुष्टः ||१६||

A person possessed by a Graha has swollen eyes, a rapid gait, and foams at the mouth. They are sleepy, often fall, and tremble. If the person has fallen from a mountain, an elephant, or such a high place, and is old, they are considered incurable and under the influence of a Graha.

The Deva Grahas possess a person during the full moon, the Asura Grahas during the twilight hours (morning and evening), the Gandharvas mostly on the eighth day, and the Yakshas on the first day of the fortnight.

Just as a shadow enters a mirror, just as heat or cold penetrates a living being, and just as the rays of the sun enter a gemstone, the Grahas enter the body of a person imperceptibly, and they cannot be seen, though they affect the body.

Severe austerities, acts of charity, vows, righteousness, self-discipline, truth, virtues, and the eight qualities (mentioned in the text) are either wholly or partially present in the Grahas, according to the extent of their respective powers. These qualities, though associated with them, are inherent to the influence and nature of the Grahas.
