ते सरक्ताश्च कृष्णाश्च स्निग्धाश्च पृथवस्तथा | रक्ताधिष्ठानजान् प्रायो विकारान् जनयन्ति ते ||१६||

These worms are red or black in color, smooth in texture, and generally cause diseases that are associated with the vitiated blood. They are known to give rise to disorders that affect the blood and related tissues in the body.
