क्षतस्य रुक्शोणितनिर्गमाभ्यां तृष्णा चतुर्थी क्षतजा मता तु | तयाऽभिभूतस्य निशादिनानि गच्छन्ति दुःखं पिबतोऽपि तोयम् ||१२||

Kshataja Thirst, which arises due to pain or the discharge of blood from a wound, is characterized by intense thirst. Even if the person drinks water, they continue to experience discomfort. The individual afflicted by this type of thirst suffers greatly, and their condition persists despite drinking water. The thirst is particularly aggravated by the loss of vital fluids from the body.

क्षतज प्यास, जो दर्द या घाव से खून निकलने के कारण उत्पन्न होती है, तीव्र प्यास की विशेषता है। यदि व्यक्ति पानी भी पी ले, तो भी उसे बेचैनी का अनुभव होता रहता है। इस प्रकार की प्यास से पीड़ित व्यक्ति को बहुत तकलीफ होती है, और पानी पीने के बावजूद उसकी स्थिति बनी रहती है। प्यास विशेष रूप से शरीर से महत्वपूर्ण तरल पदार्थों के निकल जाने से बढ़ जाती है।
