सञ्ज्ञावहासु नाडीषु पिहितास्वनिलादिभिः | तमोऽभ्युपैति सहसा सुखदुःखव्यपोहकृत् ||६||

When the sense-carrying nerves are obstructed by deranged Vayu (wind) and other doshas, a sudden onset of Tamas (insensibility) occurs, causing the suspension of the perception of pleasure and pain.

Due to the suspension of the perception of pleasure and pain, the person falls down like a piece of wood. This condition is called Moha (unconsciousness) or Murccha (fainting), and it is said to be of six kinds.
