अथातो मूर्च्छाप्रतिषेधं व्याख्यास्यामः ॥१॥
Now we shall discourse on the chapter which deals with (the symptoms and) the medical treatment of fainting fits.

hk transliteration by Sanscriptक्षीणस्य बहुदोषस्य विरुद्धाहारसेविनः । वेगाघातादभीघाताद्धीनसत्त्वस्य वा पुनः ॥३॥
For a person who is weak, afflicted by multiple doshas, who consumes incompatible food, or who is weakened by the suppression of natural urges or by external shocks or injuries, fainting (Murccha) may occur.

जो व्यक्ति कमजोर है, अनेक दोषों से ग्रस्त है, जो असंगत भोजन करता है, या जो प्राकृतिक इच्छाओं के दमन या बाहरी आघात या चोटों के कारण कमजोर हो गया है, उसे बेहोशी (मूर्च्छा) हो सकती है।

kSINasya bahudoSasya viruddhAhArasevinaH । vegAghAtAdabhIghAtAddhInasattvasya vA punaH ॥3॥

When the doshas enter the external and internal channels of the body and become aggravated, then the human beings fall into a state of fainting (Murccha).

जब दोष शरीर के बाह्य और आंतरिक मार्गों में प्रवेश कर जाते हैं और उत्तेजित हो जाते हैं, तो मनुष्य मूर्च्छा की स्थिति में चला जाता है।

karaNAyataneSUgrA bAhyeSvAbhyantareSu ca । nivizante yadA doSAstadA mUrcchanti mAnavAH ॥4॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptहृत्पीडा जृम्भणं ग्लानिः सञ्ज्ञानाशो बलस्य च । सर्वासां पूर्वरूपाणि, यथास्वं ता विभावयेत् ॥५॥
Pain in the heart, yawning, fatigue, loss of consciousness, and weakness are the premonitory signs of fainting (Murccha), which should be recognized and understood according to their specific nature.

हृदय में दर्द, जम्हाई, थकान, चेतना का ह्रास और कमजोरी बेहोशी (मूर्छा) के पूर्वसूचक लक्षण हैं, जिन्हें उनकी विशिष्ट प्रकृति के अनुसार पहचाना और समझा जाना चाहिए।
