शङ्कुस्फोटनवत्तस्य यस्मात्तीव्राश्च वेदनाः । शूलासक्तस्य लक्ष्यन्ते तस्माच्छूलमिहोच्यते ॥८१॥
The pain experienced by the person, which is as intense as a bursting of a conch, is sharp and severe. This pain, which is associated with the blockage (of the channels), is referred to as "Shula" in this context.

व्यक्ति को जो दर्द होता है, वह शंख के फटने के समान तीव्र और तीव्र होता है। यह दर्द, जो नाड़ियों के अवरोध से जुड़ा होता है, इस संदर्भ में "शूल" कहलाता है।

The person who remains without food, and experiences intense pain (Shula), becomes stiff in the body, as though struggling to breathe with great difficulty.

The person who experiences difficulty in passing wind, urine, and stool, can recognize that the pain (Shula) is caused by an imbalance of Vata, based on these signs.

Thirst, burning sensation, intoxication, fainting, and intense pain (Shula) are symptoms associated with this condition. The person experiencing these symptoms may have a strong desire for cold, and these symptoms are alleviated by cold.

प्यास, जलन, नशा, बेहोशी और तीव्र दर्द (शूल) इस स्थिति से जुड़े लक्षण हैं। इन लक्षणों का अनुभव करने वाले व्यक्ति को ठंड की तीव्र इच्छा हो सकती है, और ये लक्षण ठंड से कम हो जाते हैं।

hk transliteration by Sanscriptएतैर्लिङ्गैर्विजानीयाच्छूलं पित्तसमुद्भवम् । शूलेनोत्पीड्यमानस्य हृल्लास उपजायते ॥८५॥
By these signs, one can recognize that the pain (Shula) originates from an imbalance of Pitta. When the person suffering from this pain is relieved, there arises a feeling of pleasure or satisfaction in the heart.
