वायुः प्रकुपितो यस्य रूक्षाहारस्य देहिनः | मलं रुणद्धि कोष्ठस्थं मन्दीकृत्य तु पावकम् ||१३६||

When the air (Vayu) is aggravated in a person who consumes dry foods, it blocks the excretory system (digestive fire) and causes constipation by disturbing the function of the digestive fire (Pāvak).

english translation

जब शुष्क भोजन करने वाले व्यक्ति के शरीर में वायु की मात्रा बढ़ जाती है, तो यह मलमूत्र प्रणाली (पाचक अग्नि) को अवरुद्ध कर देती है और पावक अग्नि के कार्य में बाधा उत्पन्न कर कब्ज पैदा करती है।

शूलं सञ्जनयंस्तीव्रं स्रोतांस्यावृत्य तस्य हि | दक्षिणं यदि वा वामं कुक्षिमादाय जायते ||१३७||

When the intense pain (Shoola) is generated, it obstructs the channels (srotas). If it affects the right or left side of the abdomen, it causes pain in the corresponding region of the body.

जब तीव्र दर्द (शूल) उत्पन्न होता है, तो यह नाड़ियों (स्रोतों) को अवरुद्ध करता है। यदि यह पेट के दाएं या बाएं हिस्से को प्रभावित करता है, तो यह शरीर के संबंधित क्षेत्र में दर्द पैदा करता है।

सर्वत्र वर्धते क्षिप्रं भ्रमन्नथ सघोषवान् | पिपासा वर्धते तीव्रा भ्रमो मूर्च्छा च जायते ||१३८||

Everywhere, it quickly intensifies, wandering and making a loud noise. Thirst increases greatly, and dizziness and fainting also occur.

हर जगह यह तेजी से बढ़ता है, घूमता है और तेज आवाज करता है। प्यास बहुत बढ़ जाती है, चक्कर आना और बेहोशी भी होती है।

उच्चारितो मूत्रितश्च न शान्तिमधिगच्छति | विट्शूलमेतज्जानीयाद्भिषक् परमदारुणम् ||१३९||

When the patient urinates loudly and cannot achieve relief, the physician should recognize this as a severe form of wind-induced pain (Vata-shool), which is extremely painful.

जब रोगी जोर-जोर से पेशाब करता है और उसे राहत नहीं मिलती, तो चिकित्सक को इसे वायु-जनित दर्द (वात-शूल) के गंभीर रूप के रूप में पहचानना चाहिए, जो अत्यंत पीड़ादायक होता है।

क्षिप्रं दोषहरं कार्यं भिषजा साधु जानता | स्वेदनं शमनं चैव निरूहाः स्नेहबस्तयः ||१४०||

The physician, knowing well, should quickly administer remedies that eliminate the doshas. This includes therapies such as sweating, soothing treatments, enemas, and oil-based bastis.

चिकित्सक को अच्छी तरह से जानते हुए, दोषों को दूर करने वाले उपचारों को जल्दी से लागू करना चाहिए। इसमें पसीना निकालना, सुखदायक उपचार, एनीमा और तेल आधारित बस्तियाँ जैसी चिकित्सा शामिल हैं।
