विस्तीर्णं मृदु बहलं यकृत्प्रकाशं श्यावं वा तदधिकमांसजार्म विद्यात् | शुक्ले यत् पिशितमुपैति वृद्धिमेतत् स्नाय्वर्मेत्यभिपठितं खरं प्रपाण्डु ||६||

A soft, thick, liver-colored or dark brown growth, which gradually increases in size and spreads across the white part of the eye, is known as Adhimansarma. The rough, yellowish growth that slowly enlarges on the white coat of the eye is referred to as Snayvarma.

A speck that appears on the white coat of the eye, resembling the color of Indian bell-metal (Kamsya) and surrounded by a vein, is known as Balasa. This condition is mild and painless.
