उद्विग्नो भृशमतिवेपते प्ररुद्यात् संलीनः स्वपिति च यस्य चान्त्रकूजः | विस्राङ्गो भृशमतिसार्यते च यस्तं जानीयाद्भिषगिह शीतपूतनार्तम् ||१४||

The child who is greatly disturbed, trembles intensely, cries loudly, sleeps restlessly, and has a constant, harsh cry, is considered to be afflicted by the Shita-Putana Graha. The child will have a loose body, may emit a cold, sour smell, and exhibit extreme restlessness. Such symptoms are recognized by physicians as signs of a child suffering from the Shita-Putana Graha.

english translation

जो बच्चा बहुत परेशान रहता है, बहुत कांपता है, जोर-जोर से रोता है, बेचैन होकर सोता है और लगातार कर्कश आवाज में रोता है, उसे शीत-पूतना ग्रह से पीड़ित माना जाता है। बच्चे का शरीर ढीला होगा, ठंडी, खट्टी गंध आ सकती है और वह बहुत बेचैन हो सकता है। ऐसे लक्षणों को चिकित्सक शीत-पूतना ग्रह से पीड़ित बच्चे के लक्षण के रूप में पहचानते हैं।
