आनह्यते यस्य विधूप्यते च प्रक्लिद्यते शुष्यति चापि नासा | न वेत्ति यो गन्धरसांश्च जन्तुर्जुष्टं व्यवस्येत्तमपीनसेन ||६||

The nose that becomes obstructed, dries up, or is congested and loses its sense of smell, resulting in the inability to detect odors, is affected by Apinasa (obstruction of the nostrils). The individual suffering from this condition is unable to perceive scents, and the condition is characterized by blockage, drying, and a loss of the sense of smell.

तं चानिलश्लेष्मभवं विकारं ब्रूयात् प्रतिश्यायसमानलिङ्गम् | दोषैर्विदग्धैर्गलतालुमूले संवासितो यस्य समीरणस्तु ||७||

This condition, which is caused by an imbalance of air and mucus (Vata-Kapha) in the nose, is described as having symptoms similar to those of Pratishyaya (catarrh). It is characterized by the presence of a dry, obstructed, and inflamed root of the throat, caused by the destructive action of the doshas (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha). The person affected by this disorder experiences a sense of dryness, and the air is obstructed in the nasal passages due to the deranged doshas.
