जम्ब्वाम्रधात्र्यणुदलैः परिधावनार्थं कार्यं कषायमवसेचनमेव चापि । आश्च्योतने च हितमत्र घृतं गुडूचीसिद्धं तथाऽऽहुरपि च त्रिफलाविपक्वम् ॥१३॥

For washing and sprinkling, a decoction made from the tender leaves of Jambu, Amra, and Amalaki should be used. Additionally, for Ashchyotana (eye drops), clarified butter cooked with Triphala or Guduchi should be used, as these are beneficial for the treatment.

An anjana (collyrium) can be prepared from Nepalese Jamiricha, Shankha (conch-shell), Rasanjana, and Sindhu-produced Guduchi mixed with eye-related substances. Alternatively, an anjana can be made using sweet substances like Samadhu (licorice), Amra (mango), or other similar ingredients. Another preparation involves burning black iron (steel), clarified butter, milk, and honey, and using it as an anjana for the eye.

A suitable anjana (collyrium) can be prepared using Vyosha (mustard), Palandu (onion), Madhuka (licorice), the best quality salt, Lac (lac resin), and Gaurika (earth), or a mixture of these. Additionally, an anjana made from Nimba (neem) leaves, Madhuka, Darvi, Satamra (Indian gooseberry), and Lodhra is also effective. These ingredients should be used in equal proportions, and physicians recommend this preparation for the eye.
