पटोलकर्कोटककारवेल्लवार्ताकुतर्कारिकरीरजानि । शाकानि शिग्र्वार्तगलानि चैव हितानी दृष्टेर्घृतसाधितानि ॥५१॥
Vegetables like Patola (Pointed gourd), Karkotaka, Karavella (Bitter gourd), Vartaka, Kutharkari (another type of bitter vegetable), and Rajasani, along with quick-acting leafy vegetables, are beneficial for vision when processed with clarified butter.

पटोला, कर्कोटक, करेला, वर्तक, कुठारकारी (एक अन्य प्रकार की कड़वी सब्जी) और राजसनी जैसी सब्जियां, तथा शीघ्र प्रभाव डालने वाली पत्तेदार सब्जियां, मक्खन के साथ पकाने पर दृष्टि के लिए लाभदायक होती हैं।

One should avoid the obstruction (sira-moksha) when darkness or redness arises in the eyes. The defect caused by mechanical manipulation should be eliminated quickly, restoring vision.

आँखों में अंधेरा या लालिमा आने पर सिरा-मोक्ष से बचना चाहिए। यांत्रिक हेरफेर के कारण होने वाले दोष को तुरंत दूर करके दृष्टि बहाल करनी चाहिए।

hk transliteration by Sanscriptअरागि तिमिरं साध्यमाद्यं पटलमाश्रितम् । कृच्छ्रं द्वितीये रागि स्यात्तृतीये याप्यमुच्यते ॥५३॥
When there is no redness (in the eyes), the darkness can be cured with the first treatment, which involves using a patch. If there is difficulty with the second degree of redness, it is to be treated with more effort, and in the third degree, a curable method is prescribed.

जब आँखों में लालिमा न हो तो पहले उपचार से कालापन दूर हो जाता है, जिसमें पैच का इस्तेमाल किया जाता है। अगर दूसरे दर्जे की लालिमा में दिक्कत हो तो उसे ज़्यादा मेहनत से ठीक किया जाता है और तीसरे दर्जे में इलाज योग्य तरीका बताया जाता है।

Even in cases where redness has appeared, similar treatments should be applied for the darkness. They are to be followed as described, and also the methods used by the aquatic creatures (presumably referring to some form of natural remedy or treatment in water) should be employed.
