पिष्ट्वा क्षौद्राज्यसंयुक्तं प्रयोज्यमथवाऽञ्जनम् । नलिनोत्पलकिञ्जल्कगैरिकैर्गोशकृद्रसैः ॥११॥
After grinding and mixing with honey and jaggery, the physician should apply this preparation as an Anjana (eye salve) using the paste of lotus, water lily, and the juice of cows' milk, along with Gairika (a type of red clay).

The salve is beneficial when used consistently for soothing the Pitta imbalance in the eyes.
