A person who is afflicted with Kūrma-pitta (a type of Pitta dosha causing impaired vision) should regularly use this powdered eye salve (chūrṇānjana), made with Rauhita (possibly a type of herbal remedy) to calm the Pitta dosha and restore clarity of vision. The salve is beneficial when used consistently for soothing the Pitta imbalance in the eyes.
