Clarified butter (Sarpih) mixed with Saindhava (rock salt) and brass (Tamra), or with breast milk (Stanya) from a woman, should be used for eye treatments. Alternatively, the formulation can include pomegranate (Dadi), Arjuna, Ashmantaka, Kola, and sour fruits, all mixed with Saindhava. This can be used effectively in a Rasakriya (medicated process) to treat eye conditions caused by imbalances, particularly those that involve the digestive fire or pitta dosha. The treatment is also beneficial when prepared with proper cooking and purification techniques.
