बहुशोऽञ्जनमेतत्स्याच्छुक्रवैवर्ण्यनाशनम् । अजकां पार्श्वतो विद्ध्वा सूच्या विस्राव्य चोदकम् ॥३६॥

This eye salve, when applied frequently, can help in removing the discoloration (whiteness) caused by Shukra (milky film or white fleshy growth in the eye). To further treat the condition, a puncture should be made on either side of the cornea with a needle, and the resulting fluid should be drained, followed by the application of clarified butter. This process aids in clearing the eye and improving its condition.

व्रणं गोमांसचूर्णेन पूरयेत् सर्पिषा सह । बहुशोऽवलिखेच्चापि वर्त्मास्योपगतं यदि ॥३७॥

If there is an ulcer (Vrana) in the eye, it should be filled with powdered beef mixed with clarified butter (Sarpisha). If the ulcer is recurrent or if the path (Vartma) is obstructed, the ulcer should be frequently treated with the same mixture. This approach helps in healing the ulcer and preventing further complications.

सशोफश्चाप्यशोफश्च द्वौ पाकौ यौ प्रकीर्तितौ । स्नेहस्वेदोपपन्नस्य तत्र विद्ध्वा सिरां भिषक् ॥३८॥

In cases of Akshi-paka (inflammation of the eyelid) where there is either swelling (Sashopha) or no swelling (Ashopha), the physician should first perform venesection (blood-letting) after the application of oils (Sneha) and fomentation (Sveda). This process helps to relieve the inflammation and clear the affected area.

सेकाश्च्योतननस्यानि पुटपाकांश्च कारयेत् । सर्वतश्चापि शुद्धस्य कर्तव्यमिदमञ्जनम् ॥३९॥

In cases of Akshi-paka (eye inflammation), after cleansing the system of the patient, eye-washes (Sekana), eye-drops (Ashchyotana), nasal applications (Nasya), and Puta-paka (medicated steam treatment) should be employed. Additionally, a cleansing eye-salve (Anjana) should be applied to the affected eye from all directions to ensure complete purification and relief.
