सशोफश्चाप्यशोफश्च द्वौ पाकौ यौ प्रकीर्तितौ । स्नेहस्वेदोपपन्नस्य तत्र विद्ध्वा सिरां भिषक् ॥३८॥
In cases of Akshi-paka (inflammation of the eyelid) where there is either swelling (Sashopha) or no swelling (Ashopha), the physician should first perform venesection (blood-letting) after the application of oils (Sneha) and fomentation (Sveda). This process helps to relieve the inflammation and clear the affected area.

अक्षि-पाक (पलक की सूजन) के मामलों में जहां या तो सूजन (सशोफ) होती है या सूजन नहीं होती (अशोफ), चिकित्सक को पहले तेल (स्नेह) लगाने और सिंकाई (स्वेद) करने के बाद शिराच्छेदन (रक्त-स्राव) करना चाहिए। यह प्रक्रिया सूजन को कम करने और प्रभावित क्षेत्र को साफ करने में मदद करती है।
