ततः समुद्र उद्वेलः सर्वतः प्लावयन् महीम् । वर्धमानो महामेघैर्वर्षद्भिः समदृश्यत ॥ ८-२४-४१ ॥
Thereafter, gigantic clouds pouring incessant water swelled the ocean more and more. Thus the ocean began to overflow onto the land and inundate the entire world. ॥ 8-24-41 ॥
english translation
तत्पश्चात् विशाल बादलों ने झड़ी लगाकर समुद्र के जल को और अधिक चढ़ा दिया। इससे समुद्र बढक़र स्थल के ऊपर बहने लगा और उसने समस्त विश्व को जलमग्न करना आरम्भ कर दिया। ॥ ८-२४-४१ ॥
