अदितिरुवाच भद्रं द्विजगवां ब्रह्मन् धर्मस्यास्य जनस्य च । त्रिवर्गस्य परं क्षेत्रं गृहमेधिन् गृहा इमे ॥ ८-१६-११ ॥
Aditi said: O my respected brāhmaṇa husband, all is well with the brāhmaṇas, the cows, religion and the welfare of other people. O master of the house, the three principles of dharma, artha and kāma flourish in household life, which is consequently full of good fortune. ॥ 8-16-11 ॥
english translation
अदिति ने कहा : हे मेरे पूज्य ब्राह्मण पति! सारे ब्राह्मण, गाएँ, धर्म तथा अन्य लोग कुशलपूर्वक हैं। हे मेरे घर के स्वामी! धर्म, अर्थ तथा काम—ये तीनों गृहस्थ जीवन में ही फलते फूलते हैं जिसके फलस्वरूप यह जीवन सौभाग्य से पूर्ण होता है। ॥ ८-१६-११ ॥

अग्नयोऽतिथयो भृत्या भिक्षवो ये च लिप्सवः । सर्वं भगवतो ब्रह्मन्ननुध्यानान्न रिष्यति ॥ ८-१६-१२ ॥
O beloved husband, the fires, guests, servants and beggars are all being properly cared for by me. Because I always think of you, there is no possibility that any of the religious principles will be neglected. ॥ 8-16-12 ॥
english translation
हे प्रिय पति! मैं अग्नि, अतिथि, सेवक तथा भिखारी इन सब की समुचित देखभाल करती रही हूँ। चूँकि मैं सदैव आपका चिन्तन करती रही हूँ अतएव धर्म में किसी प्रकार की उपेक्षा की सम्भावना नहीं रही। ॥ ८-१६-१२ ॥

को नु मे भगवन् कामो न सम्पद्येत मानसः । यस्या भवान् प्रजाध्यक्ष एवं धर्मान् प्रभाषते ॥ ८-१६-१३ ॥
O my lord, since you are a Prajāpati and are personally my instructor in the principles of religion, where is the possibility that all my desires will not be fulfilled? ॥ 8-16-13 ॥
english translation
हे स्वामी! जब आप प्रजापति हैं और धर्म के सिद्धान्तों के पालन में साक्षात् मेरे उपदेशक हैं, तो फिर मेरी इच्छाओं के पूरा न होने में क्या सम्भावना हो सकती है? ॥ ८-१६-१३ ॥

तवैव मारीच मनःशरीरजाः प्रजा इमाः सत्त्वरजस्तमोजुषः । समो भवांस्तास्वसुरादिषु प्रभो तथापि भक्तं भजते महेश्वरः ॥ ८-१६-१४ ॥
O son of Marīci, because you are a great personality you are equal toward all the demons and demigods, who are born either from your body or from your mind and who possess one or another of the three qualities — sattva-guṇa, rajo-guṇa or tamo-guṇa. But although the Supreme Personality of Godhead, the supreme controller, is equal toward all living entities, He is especially favorable to the devotees. ॥ 8-16-14 ॥

हे मरीचि पुत्र! आप महापुरुष होने के कारण असुरों तथा देवताओं के प्रति समभाव रखते हैं क्योंकि वे या तो आपके शरीर से उत्पन्न हैं या आपके मन से। वे सतो, रजो तथा तमो गुणों में से किसी न किसी गुण से युक्त हैं। लेकिन परम नियन्ता भगवान् समस्त जीवों पर समदर्शी होते हुए भी भक्तों पर विशेष रूप से अनकूल रहते हैं। ॥ ८-१६-१४ ॥

तस्मादीश भजन्त्या मे श्रेयश्चिन्तय सुव्रत । हृतश्रियो हृतस्थानान् सपत्नैः पाहि नः प्रभो ॥ ८-१६-१५ ॥
Therefore, most gentle lord, kindly favor your maidservant. We have now been deprived of our opulence and residence by our competitors, the demons. Kindly give us protection. ॥ 8-16-15 ॥
english translation
श्लोक 15: अतएव हे भद्र स्वामी! अपनी दासी पर कृपा कीजिये। हमारे प्रतिद्वन्द्वी असुरों ने अब हमें ऐश्वर्य तथा घर-बार से विहीन कर दिया है। कृपा करके हमें संरक्षण प्रदान कीजिये। ॥ ८-१६-१५ ॥
