तृतीयां वडवामेके तासां संज्ञासुतास्त्रयः । यमो यमी श्राद्धदेवश्छायायाश्च सुताञ्छृणु ।। ८-१३-९ ।।

It is said that the sun-god had a third wife, named Vaḍavā. Of the three wives, the wife named Saṁjñā had three children — Yama, Yamī and Śrāddhadeva. Now let me describe the children of Chāyā. ।। 8-13-9 ।।

english translation

ऐसा कहा जाता है कि सूर्यदेव के एक तीसरी पत्नी भी थी जिसका नाम वडवा था। इन तीनों पत्नियों में से संज्ञा के तीन संतानें हुईं—यम, यमी तथा श्राद्धदेव। अब मैं छाया की सन्तानों का वर्णन करूँगा। ।। ८-१३-९ ।।
