सृष्टो दैत्येन सुमहान् वह्निः श्वसनसारथिः । सांवर्तक इवात्युग्रो विबुधध्वजिनीमधाक् ॥ ८-१०-५० ॥
A great devastating fire created by Bali Mahārāja began burning all the soldiers of the demigods. This fire, accompanied by blasting winds, seemed as terrible as the Sāṁvartaka fire, which appears at the time of dissolution. ॥ 8-10-50 ॥
english translation
महाराज बलि द्वारा उत्पन्न की गई अत्यन्त संहारक अग्नि देवताओं के सभी सैनिकों को जलाने लगी। यह अग्नि तेज बहती हवाओं के साथ उस सांवर्तक अग्नि जैसी प्रतीत हो रही थी जो प्रलय के समय प्रकट होती है। ॥ ८-१०-५० ॥
