देवस्तानाह संविग्नो मा मां जक्षत रक्षत । अहो मे यक्षरक्षांसि प्रजा यूयं बभूविथ ।। ३-२०-२१ ।।

sanskrit

Brahmā, the head of the demigods, full of anxiety, asked them, “Do not eat me, but protect me. You are born from me and have become my sons. Therefore you are Yakṣas and Rākṣasas.” ।। 3-20-21 ।।

english translation

देवताओं के प्रधान ब्रह्माजी ने घबराकर उनसे कहा, “मुझे खाओ नहीं, मेरी रक्षा करो। तुम मुझसे उत्पन्न हो और मेरे पुत्र हो चुके हो। अत: तुम लोग यक्ष तथा राक्षस हो।” ।। ३-२०-२१ ।।

देवताः प्रभया या या दीव्यन् प्रमुखतोऽसृजत् । ते अहार्षुर्देवयन्तो विसृष्टां तां प्रभामहः ।। ३-२०-२२ ।।

He then created the chief demigods, who were shining with the glory of goodness. He dropped before them the effulgent form of daytime, and the demigods sportingly took possession of it. ।। 3-20-22 ।।

english translation

तब उन्होंने प्रमुख देवताओं की सृष्टि की जो सात्त्विक प्रभा से चमचमा रहे थे। उन्होंने देवताओं के समक्ष दिन का तेज फैला दिया जिस पर देवताओं ने खेल-खेल में ही अधिकार जमा लिया। ।। ३-२०-२२ ।।

Lord Brahmā then gave birth to the demons from his buttocks, and they were very fond of sex. Because they were too lustful, they approached him for copulation. ।। 3-20-23 ।।

english translation

ब्रह्माजी ने अपने नितंब प्रदेश से असुरों को उत्पन्न किया जो अत्यन्त कामी थे। अत्यन्त कामी होने के कारण वे संभोग के लिए उनके निकट आ गये। ।। ३-२०-२३ ।।

The worshipful Brahmā first laughed at their stupidity, but finding the shameless asuras close upon him, he grew indignant and ran in great haste out of fear. ।। 3-20-24 ।।

पहले तो पूज्य ब्रह्माजी उनकी मूर्खता पर हँसे, किन्तु उन निर्लज्ज असुरों को अपना पीछा करते देखकर वे क्रुद्ध हुए और भयभीत होकर हड़बड़ी में भागने लगे। ।। ३-२०-२४ ।।

स उपव्रज्य वरदं प्रपन्नार्तिहरं हरिम् । अनुग्रहाय भक्तानामनुरूपात्मदर्शनम् ।। ३-२०-२५ ।।

He approached the Personality of Godhead, who bestows all boons and who dispels the agony of His devotees and of those who take shelter of His lotus feet. He manifests His innumerable transcendental forms for the satisfaction of His devotees. ।। 3-20-25 ।।

वे भगवान् श्री हरि के पास पहुँचे जो समस्त वरों को देने वाले तथा अपने भक्तों एवं अपने चरणों की शरण ग्रहण करने वालों की पीड़ा को हरने वाले हैं। वे अपने भक्तों की तुष्टि के लिए असंख्य दिव्य रूपों में प्रकट होते हैं। ।। ३-२०-२५ ।।
