श्रीशुक उवाच शिवः शक्तियुतः शश्वत्त्रिलिङ्गो गुणसंवृतः । वैकारिकस्तैजसश्च तामसश्चेत्यहं त्रिधा ।। १०-८८-३ ।।

sanskrit

Śrī Śukadeva said: Lord Śiva is always united with his personal energy, the material nature. Manifesting himself in three features in response to the entreaties of nature’s three modes, he thus embodies the threefold principle of material ego in goodness, passion and ignorance. ।। 10-88-3 ।।

english translation

श्री शुकदेव ने कहा: भगवान शिव हमेशा अपनी व्यक्तिगत ऊर्जा, भौतिक प्रकृति के साथ एकजुट रहते हैं। प्रकृति के तीन गुणों की विनती के जवाब में खुद को तीन विशेषताओं में प्रकट करते हुए, वह इस प्रकार भौतिक अहंकार के तीन गुना सिद्धांत - अच्छाई, जुनून और अज्ञान का प्रतीक है। ।। १०-८८-३ ।।
