परीक्षिदुवाच ब्रह्मन् ब्रह्मण्यनिर्देश्ये निर्गुणे गुणवृत्तयः । कथं चरन्ति श्रुतयः साक्षात्सदसतः परे ।। १०-८७-१ ।।

sanskrit

Śrī Parīkṣit said: O brāhmaṇa, how can the Vedas directly describe the Supreme Absolute Truth, who cannot be described in words? The Vedas are limited to describing the qualities of material nature, but the Supreme is devoid of these qualities, being transcendental to all material manifestations and their causes. ।। 10-87-1 ।।

english translation

श्री परीक्षित ने कहा: हे ब्राह्मण, वेद सीधे परम परम सत्य का वर्णन कैसे कर सकते हैं, जिसका वर्णन शब्दों में नहीं किया जा सकता है? वेद भौतिक प्रकृति के गुणों का वर्णन करने तक ही सीमित हैं, लेकिन सर्वोच्च इन गुणों से रहित है, क्योंकि वह सभी भौतिक अभिव्यक्तियों और उनके कारणों से परे है। ।। १०-८७-१ ।।
