स इन्द्रसेनो भगवत्पदाम्बुजं बिभ्रन्मुहुः प्रेमविभिन्नया धिया । उवाच हानन्दजलाकुलेक्षणः प्रहृष्टरोमा नृप गद्गदाक्षरम् ॥ १०-८५-३८ ॥
Taking hold of the Lords’ lotus feet again and again, Bali, the conqueror of Indra’s army, spoke from his heart, which was melting out of his intense love. O King, as tears of ecstasy filled his eyes and the hair on his limbs stood on end, he began to speak with faltering words. ॥ 10-85-38 ॥

इंद्र की सेना के विजेता बलि ने भगवान के चरण कमलों को बार-बार पकड़कर अपने हृदय से कहा, जो उसके गहन प्रेम से पिघल रहा था। हे राजन, जैसे ही उसकी आँखों में आनंद के आँसू भर आए और उसके अंगों पर रोंगटे खड़े हो गए, वह लड़खड़ाते हुए शब्दों से बोलने लगा। ॥ १०-८५-३८ ॥
