एवं वृते भगवति मयेशे नृपयूथपाः । न सेहिरे याज्ञसेनि स्पर्धन्तो हृच्छयातुराः ॥ १०-८३-३१ ॥

sanskrit

The leading kings there could not tolerate my having chosen the Supreme Personality of Godhead, O Draupadī. Burning with lust, they became quarrelsome. ॥ 10-83-31 ॥

english translation

हे द्रौपदी, वहाँ के प्रमुख राजा मेरे द्वारा भगवान को चुने जाने को सहन नहीं कर सके। काम-वासना में जलकर वे झगड़ालू हो गये। ॥ १०-८३-३१ ॥

evaM vRte bhagavati mayeze nRpayUthapAH । na sehire yAjJaseni spardhanto hRcchayAturAH ॥ 10-83-31 ॥
