एष वः श्रेय आधास्यद्गोपगोकुलनन्दनः । अनेन सर्वदुर्गाणि यूयमञ्जस्तरिष्यथ ॥ १०-८-१६ ॥
To increase the transcendental bliss of the cowherd men of Gokula, this child will always act auspiciously for you. And by His grace only, you will surpass all difficulties. ॥ 10-8-16 ॥

यह बालक गोकुल के ग्वालों के दिव्य आनन्द को बढ़ाने हेतु तुम्हारे लिए सदैव शुभ कर्म करेगा। इसकी ही कृपा से तुम लोग सारी कठिनाइयों को पार कर सकोगे। ॥ १०-८-१६ ॥

पुरानेन व्रजपते साधवो दस्युपीडिताः । अराजके रक्ष्यमाणा जिग्युर्दस्यून् समेधिताः ॥ १०-८-१७ ॥
O Nanda Mahārāja, as recorded in history, when there was an irregular, incapable government, Indra having been dethroned, and people were being harassed and disturbed by thieves, this child appeared in order to protect the people and enable them to flourish, and He curbed the rogues and thieves. ॥ 10-8-17 ॥

हे नन्द महाराज, जैसा कि इतिहास बतलाता है जब अनियमित अशक्त शासन था और इन्द्र को अपदस्थ कर दिया गया था और लोग चोरों द्वारा सताये जा रहे थे उस समय लोगों की रक्षा करने तथा उनकी समृद्धि के लिए यह बालक प्रकट हुआ और इसने चोर-उचक्कों का दमन कर दिया। ॥ १०-८-१७ ॥

य एतस्मिन् महाभागाः प्रीतिं कुर्वन्ति मानवाः । नारयोऽभिभवन्त्येतान् विष्णुपक्षानिवासुराः ॥ १०-८-१८ ॥
Demons [asuras] cannot harm the demigods, who always have Lord Viṣṇu on their side. Similarly, any person or group attached to Kṛṣṇa is extremely fortunate. Because such persons are very much affectionate toward Kṛṣṇa, they cannot be defeated by demons like the associates of Kaṁsa [or by the internal enemies, the senses]. ॥ 10-8-18 ॥

देवताओं के पक्ष में सदैव भगवान् विष्णु के रहने से असुरगण देवताओं को हानि नहीं पहुँचा सकते। इसी तरह कोई भी व्यक्ति या समुदाय जो कृष्ण के प्रति अनुरक्त है अत्यन्त भाग्यशाली है। चूँकि ऐसे लोग कृष्ण से अत्यधिक स्नेह रखते हैं अतएव वे कंस के संगियों यथा असुरों (या आन्तरिक शत्रु तथा इन्द्रियों) द्वारा कभी परास्त नहीं किये जा सकते। ॥ १०-८-१८ ॥

तस्मान्नन्दात्मजोऽयं ते नारायणसमो गुणैः । श्रिया कीर्त्यानुभावेन गोपायस्व समाहितः ॥ १०-८-१९ ॥
In conclusion, therefore, O Nanda Mahārāja, this child of yours is as good as Nārāyaṇa. In His transcendental qualities, opulence, name, fame and influence, He is exactly like Nārāyaṇa. You should all raise this child very carefully and cautiously. ॥ 10-8-19 ॥

अतएव हे नन्द महाराज, निष्कर्ष यह है कि आपका यह पुत्र नारायण के सदृश है। यह अपने दिव्य गुण, ऐश्वर्य, नाम, यश तथा प्रभाव से नारायण के ही समान है। आप इस बालक का बड़े ध्यान से और सावधानी से पालन करें। ॥ १०-८-१९ ॥

इत्यात्मानं समादिश्य गर्गे च स्वगृहं गते । नन्दः प्रमुदितो मेने आत्मानं पूर्णमाशिषाम् ॥ १०-८-२० ॥
Śrīla Śukadeva Gosvāmī continued: After Garga Muni, having instructed Nanda Mahārāja about Kṛṣṇa, departed for his own home, Nanda Mahārāja was very pleased and considered himself full of all good fortune. ॥ 10-8-20 ॥

श्रील शुकदेव गोस्वामी ने आगे कहा : जब नन्द महाराज को कृष्ण के विषय में उपदेश देकर गर्गमुनि अपने घर चले गये तो नन्द महाराज अत्यधिक प्रसन्न हुए और अपने को परम भाग्यशाली समझने लगे। ॥ १०-८-२० ॥
