ऋषेर्भगवतो भूत्वा शिष्योऽधीत्य बहूनि च । सेतिहासपुराणानि धर्मशास्त्राणि सर्वशः ।। १०-७८-२५ ।।

Although he is a disciple of the divine sage Vyāsa and has thoroughly learned many scriptures from him, including the lawbooks of religious duties and the epic histories and Purāṇas, all this study has not produced good qualities in him. ।। 10-78-25 ।।

english translation

हालाँकि वह दिव्य ऋषि व्यास के शिष्य हैं और उन्होंने उनसे कई धर्मग्रंथों को अच्छी तरह से सीखा है, जिसमें धार्मिक कर्तव्यों की कानूनी किताबें और महाकाव्य इतिहास और पुराण शामिल हैं, लेकिन इस सभी अध्ययन ने उनमें अच्छे गुणों का उत्पादन नहीं किया है। ।। १०-७८-२५ ।।
