न मे ब्रह्मधनं भूयाद्यद्गृध्वाल्पायुषो नराः । पराजिताश्च्युता राज्याद्भवन्त्युद्वेजिनोऽहयः ।। १०-६४-४० ।।

sanskrit

I do not desire brāhmaṇas’ wealth. Those who lust after it become short-lived and are defeated. They lose their kingdoms and become snakes, who trouble others. ।। 10-64-40 ।।

english translation

मुझे ब्राह्मणों का धन नहीं चाहिए. जो लोग इसकी लालसा करते हैं वे अल्पायु हो जाते हैं और पराजित हो जाते हैं। वे अपना राज्य खो देते हैं और साँप बन जाते हैं, जो दूसरों को परेशान करते हैं। ।। १०-६४-४० ।।
