तत आरभ्य नन्दस्य व्रजः सर्वसमृद्धिमान् । हरेर्निवासात्मगुणै रमाक्रीडमभून्नृप ।। १०-५-१८ ।।

sanskrit

O Mahārāja Parīkṣit, the home of Nanda Mahārāja is eternally the abode of the Supreme Personality of Godhead and His transcendental qualities and is therefore always naturally endowed with the opulence of all wealth. Yet beginning from Lord Kṛṣṇa’s appearance there, it became the place for the pastimes of the goddess of fortune. ।। 10-5-18 ।।

english translation

हे महाराज परीक्षित, नन्द महाराज का घर पूर्ण पुरुषोत्तम भगवान् तथा उनके दिव्य गुणों का शाश्वत धाम है फलत: उसमें समस्त सम्पदाओं का ऐश्वर्य सदैव निहित है। फिर भी कृष्ण के आविर्भाव के दिन से ही वह घर देवी लक्ष्मी की क्रीड़ास्थली बन गया। ।। १०-५-१८ ।।
