अथो गुरुकुले वासमिच्छन्तावुपजग्मतुः । काश्यं सान्दीपनिं नाम ह्यवन्तिपुरवासिनम् ।। १०-४५-३१ ।।

Themselves the origin of all branches of knowledge, next desired to reside at the school of a spiritual master. Thus They approached Sāndīpani Muni, a native of Kāsī living in the city of Avantī. ।। 10-45-31 ।।

english translation

ज्ञान की समस्त शाखाओं के उद्गम होते हुए भी, गुरुकुल में जाकर रहने की इच्छा व्यक्त की। इस तरह वे काशीवासी सान्दीपनि मुनि के पास पहुँचे जो अवन्ती नगरी में रह रहे थे। ।। १०-४५-३१ ।।
