देवक्युवाच रूपं यत्तत्प्राहुरव्यक्तमाद्यं ब्रह्म ज्योतिर्निर्गुणं निर्विकारम् । सत्तामात्रं निर्विशेषं निरीहं स त्वं साक्षाद्विष्णुरध्यात्मदीपः ।। १०-३-२४ ।।

Śrī Devakī said: My dear Lord, there are different Vedas, some of which describe You as unperceivable through words and the mind. Yet You are the origin of the entire cosmic manifestation. You are Brahman, the greatest of everything, full of effulgence like the sun. You have no material cause, You are free from change and deviation, and You have no material desires. Thus the Vedas say that You are the substance. Therefore, my Lord, You are directly the origin of all Vedic statements, and by understanding You, one gradually understands everything. You are different from the light of Brahman and Paramātmā, yet You are not different from them. Everything emanates from You. Indeed, You are the cause of all causes, Lord Viṣṇu, the light of all transcendental knowledge. ।। 10-3-24 ।।

english translation

श्रीदेवकी ने कहा : हे भगवन, वेद अनेक हैं। उसमें से कुछ आपको शब्दों तथा मन द्वारा अव्यक्त बतलाते हैं फिर भी आप सम्पूर्ण विश्व के उद्गम हैं। आप ब्रह्म हैं, सभी वस्तुओं से बड़े और सूर्य के समान तेज से युक्त। आपका कोई भौतिक कारण नहीं, आप परिवर्तन तथा विचलन से मुक्त हैं और आपकी कोई भौतिक इच्छाएँ नहीं हैं। इस तरह वेदों का कथन है कि आप ही सार हैं। अत: हे प्रभु, आप समस्त वैदिक कथनों के उद्गम हैं और आपको समझ लेने पर मनुष्य हर वस्तु धीरे धीरे समझ जाता है। आप ब्रह्मज्योति तथा परमात्मा से भिन्न हैं फिर भी आप उनसे भिन्न नहीं हैं। आपसे ही सब वस्तुएँ उद्भूत हैं। दरअसल आप ही समस्त कारणों के कारण हैं, आप समस्त दिव्य ज्ञान की ज्योति भगवान् विष्णु हैं। ।। १०-३-२४ ।।
