क्षेत्राणि सस्यसम्पद्भिः कर्षकाणां मुदं ददुः । धनिनामुपतापं च दैवाधीनमजानताम् ।। १०-२०-१२ ।।

sanskrit

With their wealth of grains, the fields gave joy to the farmers. But those fields created remorse in the hearts of those who were too proud to engage in farming and who failed to understand how everything is under the control of the Supreme. ।। 10-20-12 ।।

english translation

अपनी अन्नरूपी सम्पदा से सारे खेत किसानों को प्रफुल्लित कर रहे थे। किन्तु वही खेत उन लोगों के हृदयों में पश्चात्ताप उत्पन्न कर रहे थे, जो इतने घमण्डी थे कि खेती के कार्य में नहीं लगना चाहते थे और यह नहीं समझ पाते थे कि किस तरह हर वस्तु भगवान् के अधीन है। ।। १०-२०-१२ ।।
