बिभर्षि रूपाण्यवबोध आत्मा क्षेमाय लोकस्य चराचरस्य । सत्त्वोपपन्नानि सुखावहानि सतामभद्राणि मुहुः खलानाम् ।। १०-२-२९ ।।

sanskrit

O Lord, You are always in full knowledge, and to bring all good fortune to all living entities, You appear in different incarnations, all of them transcendental to the material creation. When You appear in these incarnations, You are pleasing to the pious and religious devotees, but for nondevotees You are the annihilator. ।। 10-2-29 ।।

english translation

हे ईश्वर, आप सदैव ज्ञान से पूर्ण रहने वाले हैं और सारे जीवों का कल्याण करने के लिए आप विविध रूपों में अवतरित होते हैं, जो भौतिक सृष्टि के परे होते हैं। जब आप इन अवतारों के रूप में प्रकट होते हैं, तो आप पुण्यात्माओं तथा धार्मिक भक्तों के लिए मोहक लगते हैं किन्तु अभक्तों के लिए आप संहारकर्ता हैं। ।। १०-२-२९ ।।
