मातरं पितरं भ्रातॄन् सर्वांश्च सुहृदस्तथा । घ्नन्ति ह्यसुतृपो लुब्धा राजानः प्रायशो भुवि ।। १०-१-६७ ।।

sanskrit

Kings greedy for sense gratification on this earth almost always kill their enemies indiscriminately. To satisfy their own whims, they may kill anyone, even their mothers, fathers, brothers or friends. ।। 10-1-67 ।।

english translation

इस पृथ्वी पर इन्द्रियतृप्ति के लालची राजा प्राय: सदा अपने शत्रुओं का अंधाधुंध वध करते हैं। वे अपनी सनक की पूर्ति के लिए किसी का भी, यहाँ तक कि अपनी माता, पिता, भाइयों या मित्रों का भी वध कर सकते हैं। ।। १०-१-६७ ।।
