नैषातिदुःसहा क्षुन्मां त्यक्तोदमपि बाधते । पिबन्तं त्वन्मुखाम्भोजच्युतं हरिकथामृतम् ॥ १०-१-१३ ॥

Because of my vow on the verge of death, I have given up even drinking water, yet because I am drinking the nectar of topics about Kṛṣṇa, which is flowing from the lotus mouth of your Lordship, my hunger and thirst, which are extremely difficult to bear, cannot hinder me. ॥ 10-1-13 ॥

english translation

मृत्यु द्वार पर होते हुए अपने व्रत के कारण मैंने जल ग्रहण करना भी छोड़ दिया है फिर भी आपके कमलमुख से निकले कृष्ण-कथा रूपी अमृत का पान करने से मेरी असह्य भूख तथा प्यास मुझे किसी तरह भी बाधा नहीं पहुँचा रही। ॥ १०-१-१३ ॥
