    मन्त्रस्य च परिज्ञानं कर्मशुद्धिर्मदर्पणम् । धर्मः सम्पद्यते षड्भिरधर्मस्तु विपर्ययः ॥ ११-२१-१५ ॥mantrasya ca parijJAnaM karmazuddhirmadarpaNam । dharmaH sampadyate SaDbhiradharmastu viparyayaH ॥ 11-21-15 ॥A mantra is purified when chanted with proper knowledge, and one’s work is purified when offered to Me. Thus by purification of the place, time, substance, doer, mantras and work, one becomes religious, and by negligence of these six items one is considered irreligious. ॥ 11-21-15 ॥

    रेतो नावकिरेज्जातु ब्रह्मव्रतधरः स्वयम् । अवकीर्णेऽवगाह्याप्सु यतासुस्त्रिपदीं जपेत् ॥ ११-१७-२५ ॥reto nAvakirejjAtu brahmavratadharaH svayam । avakIrNe'vagAhyApsu yatAsustripadIM japet ॥ 11-17-25 ॥One observing the vow of celibate brahmacārī life should never pass semen. If the semen by chance spills out by itself, the brahmacārī should immediately take bath in water, control his breath by prāṇāyāma and chant the Gāyatrī mantra. ॥ 11-17-25 ॥

    यो वै मद्भावमापन्न ईशितुर्वशितुः पुमान् । कुतश्चिन्न विहन्येत तस्य चाज्ञा यथा मम ॥ ११-१५-२७ ॥yo vai madbhAvamApanna IziturvazituH pumAn । kutazcinna vihanyeta tasya cAjJA yathA mama ॥ 11-15-27 ॥A person who perfectly meditates on Me acquires My nature of being the supreme ruler and controller. His order, like Mine, can never be frustrated by any means. ॥ 11-15-27 ॥

    यथा सङ्कल्पयेद्बुद्ध्या यदा वा मत्परः पुमान् । मयि सत्ये मनो युञ्जंस्तथा तत्समुपाश्नुते ॥ ११-१५-२६ ॥yathA saGkalpayedbuddhyA yadA vA matparaH pumAn । mayi satye mano yuJjaMstathA tatsamupAznute ॥ 11-15-26 ॥A yogī who has faith in Me, absorbing his mind in Me and knowing that My purpose is always fulfilled, will always achieve his purpose by the very means he has determined to follow. ॥ 11-15-26 ॥

    आर्षं धर्मं बरुवाणॊ ऽहं देव यानि यथा तवया शप्तॊ नार्हॊ ऽसमि शापस्य कामतॊ ऽदय न धर्मतः ॥ १-७२-१८ ॥ArSaM dharmaM baruvANò 'haM deva yAni yathA tavayA zaptò nArhò 'sami zApasya kAmatò 'daya na dharmataH ॥ 1-72-18 ॥'I uphold the principles of righteousness as taught by the sages, O Devayani. Being cursed by you, I don't merit such a curse, for my actions are not driven by desire but are aligned with dharma.' ॥ 1-72-18 ॥

    श्रीभगवानुवाच सत्त्वं रजस्तम इति गुणा बुद्धेर्न चात्मनः । सत्त्वेनान्यतमौ हन्यात्सत्त्वं सत्त्वेन चैव हि ॥ ११-१३-१ ॥zrIbhagavAnuvAca sattvaM rajastama iti guNA buddherna cAtmanaH । sattvenAnyatamau hanyAtsattvaM sattvena caiva hi ॥ 11-13-1 ॥The Supreme Personality of Godhead said: The three modes of material nature, namely goodness, passion and ignorance, pertain to material intelligence and not to the spirit soul. By development of material goodness one can conquer the modes of passion and ignorance, and by cultivation of transcendental goodness one may free oneself even from material goodness. ॥ 11-13-1 ॥

As she was beating the rice, the conchshell bracelets on her arms were colliding and making a loud noise. ॥ 11-9-6 ॥

    [क] गुरुपुत्रीति कृत्वाहं परत्याचक्षे न दॊषतः गुरुणा चाभ्यनुज्ञातः कामम एवं शपस्व माम ॥ १-७२-१७ ॥[ka] guruputrIti kRtvAhaM paratyAcakSe na dòSataH guruNA cAbhyanujJAtaH kAmama evaM zapasva mAma ॥ 1-72-17 ॥'Hearing this, Kacha responded, "My refusal stems solely from the fact that you are my preceptor's daughter, not due to any fault of yours. Moreover, my preceptor hasn't given any directive regarding this matter. If you wish, then, you may curse me."' ॥ 1-72-17 ॥

    जनेषु दह्यमानेषु कामलोभदवाग्निना । न तप्यसेऽग्निना मुक्तो गङ्गाम्भःस्थ इव द्विपः ॥ ११-७-२९ ॥janeSu dahyamAneSu kAmalobhadavAgninA । na tapyase'gninA mukto gaGgAmbhaHstha iva dvipaH ॥ 11-7-29 ॥Although all people within the material world are burning in the great forest fire of lust and greed, you remain free and are not burned by that fire. You are just like an elephant who takes shelter from a forest fire by standing within the water of the Ganges River. ॥ 11-7-29 ॥
