Because of these austerities, the great Lord Brahmā was able to create nine personalities, including you, to help him in the functions of creation. ॥ 6-4-50 ॥

    इयं प्रत्यक्थ्सली वेदिर्यत्र ते मे सुसत्कृताः। पुष्पोपहारं कुर्वन्ति श्रमादुद्वेपिभिः करैः ॥ ३-७४-२३iyaM pratyakthsalI vediryatra te me susatkRtAH। puSpopahAraM kurvanti zramAdudvepibhiH karaiH ॥ 3-74-23This is the altar named Pratyaksthali where the saints aged and exhausted ( by performing chandrayana ) whom I worshipped made offerings of flowers with trembling hands. ॥ 3-74-23॥

They brought water and offered oblations to the sacrificial fire. ॥ 3-74-22॥
