अथ मेऽभिहितो देवस्तपोऽतप्यत दारुणम् । नव विश्वसृजो युष्मान् येनादावसृजद्विभुः ।। ६-४-५० ।।

Therefore I gave him advice, and in accordance with My instructions he underwent extremely difficult austerities. Because of these austerities, the great Lord Brahmā was able to create nine personalities, including you, to help him in the functions of creation. ।। 6-4-50 ।।

english translation

इसलिए मैंने उन्हें सलाह दी और मेरे आदेशों के अनुसार उन्होंने कठिन तपस्या की। इस तपस्या के कारण सृजन के कार्यों में अपनी सहायता के लिए उन्होंने तुम समेत नौ महापुरुषों को उत्पन्न किया। ।। ६-४-५० ।।
