राक्षसांश्च महाकायान्नानाप्रहरणोद्यतान् । रक्तान् श्वेतान् सितांश्चैव हरींश्चापि महाजवान् ॥ ५-६-३१

- of huge demons ready with different kinds of weapons. (He saw) horses of high speed in red, white and cream colours. [5-6-31]

english translation

कुलीनान् रूपसम्पन्नान् गजान्परगजारुजान् । निष्ठितान् गजशिक्षयामैरावतसमान्युधि ॥ ५-६-३२

Beautiful, wellbred elephants, which were not inferior to the enemy's, they were well trained and had proved equal to Airavata (Indra's elephant) in battles - [5-6-32]

english translation

निहन्त्रून् परसैन्यानां गृहे तस्मिन् ददर्श सः । क्षरतश्च यथा मेघान् स्रवतश्च यथा गिरीन् ॥ ५-६-३३

- capable of killing enemies armies in war, rutting like raining clouds, like mountains with water falls that are pouring down, were seen by him (Hanuman) in his (Ravana's) residence. [5-6-33]

english translation

मेघसन्ततिनिर्घोषान् दुर्धर्षान् समरे परैः । सहस्रं वाहिनीस्तत्र जाम्बूनदपरिष्कृताः ॥ ५-६-३४

They (elephants) were unassailable to the enemy in war and were trumpeting like a cluster of clouds. There thousands of troops adorned with gold - [5-6-34]

हेमजालपरिच्छन्नास्तरुणादित्यसन्निभाः । ददर्श राक्षसेन्द्रस्य रावणस्य निवेशने ॥ ५-६-३५

- fully protected with armour of gold shining like the morning Sun in the palace of Ravana, were seen by him (Hanuman). [5-6-35]
