वनं राक्षसराजस्य दर्शनार्थे विनाशितम् । ततस्ते राक्षसाः प्राप्ता बलिनो युद्धकाङ्क्षिणः ॥ ५-५०-१५
'Intent on that object (of sight of Ravana), the garden was destroyed by me. Desiring to fight with me the powerful ogres came. ॥ 5-50-15॥
english translation
vanaM rAkSasarAjasya darzanArthe vinAzitam । tataste rAkSasAH prAptA balino yuddhakAGkSiNaH ॥ 5-50-15
