सन्दिष्टो राक्षसेन्द्रेण प्रहस्तस्य सुतो बली । जम्बुमाली महादंष्ट्रो निर्जगाम धनुर्धरः ॥ ५-४४-१

Under the order of the King of the Titans (Ravana), the valiant son of Prahasta, Jambumalin of large teeth, went out bearing his bow. [5-44-1]

english translation

रक्तमाल्याम्बरधरस्स्रग्वी रुचिरकुण्डलः । महान्विवृत्तनयनश्चण्डस्समरदुर्जयः ॥ ५-४४-२

Wearing garlands and red attire with a crown and brilliant ear-rings, that invincible warrior of immense stature, rolling his big eyes ferociously . - [5-44-2]

english translation

धनुश्शक्रधनुः प्रख्यं महद्रुचिरसायकम् । विष्फारयाणो वेगेन वज्राशनिसमस्वनम् ॥ ५-४४-३

- drew his great bow, furnished with shining arrows, equal to Indra’s, with a noise like thunder. [5-44-3]

english translation

तस्य विष्फारघोषेण धनुषो महता दिशः । प्रदिशश्च नभश्चैव सहसा समपूर्यत ॥ ५-४४-४

All directions including the intermediate directions and the sky were filled with that loud sound produced by his twang. [5-44-4]

english translation

रथेन खरयुक्तेन तमागतमुदीक्ष्य सः । हनुमान्वेगसम्पन्नो जहर्ष च ननाद च ॥ ५-४४-५

Seeing him coming in a chariot drawn by donkeys, Hanuman who was swift to act was glad (to have an opportunity to fight) and made a loud noise. [5-44-5]
