स भूत्वा सुमहाकायः प्रभावान्मारुतात्मजः । धृष्टमास्फोटयामास लङ्कां शब्देन पूरयन् ॥ ५-४३-६

Hanuman heaved his body huge with his prowess and patted his arms loudly filling the city of Lanka with that terrible sound. [5-43-6]

तस्यास्फोटितशब्देन महता श्रोत्रघातिना । पेतुर्विहङ्गमास्तत्र चैत्यपालाश्च मोहिताः ॥ ५-४३-७

By the deafening sound caused by the patting, the birds fell down and the guards of the palace lost consciousness. [5-43-7]

अस्त्रविज्जयतां रामो लक्ष्मणश्च महाबलः । राजा जयति सुग्रीवो राघवेणाभिपालितः ॥ ५-४३-८

'May Sri Rama, unsurpassed in the use of missiles be victorious May his brother, mighty Lakshmana, a matchless warrior be victorious. May King Sugriva ruled by Rama be victorious. [5-43-8]

दासोऽहं कोसलेन्द्रस्य रामस्याक्लिष्टकर्मणः । हनुमान्शत्रुसैन्यानां निहन्ता मारुतात्मजः ॥ ५-४३-९

'I am the son of the Windgod, destroyer of enemy army. I am a servant of Rama, the king of Kosala who can accomplish any task with ease. [5-43-9]
