परिक्षिप्य हरिश्रेष्ठं स बभौ रक्षसां गणः । ततो वातात्मजः क्रुद्धो भीम रूपं समास्थितः॥ ५-४३-१६
- the demons (were looked) surrounded the great monkey. Thereupon the infuriated son of the Windgod, assumed a fearsome form. ॥ 5-43-16॥

parikSipya harizreSThaM sa babhau rakSasAM gaNaH । tato vAtAtmajaH kruddho bhIma rUpaM samAsthitaH॥ 5-43-16

Hanuman, son of the Wind-god, (swiftly) uprooted a pillar of the great palace decked with gold. ॥ 5-43-17॥

prAsAdasya mahantasya stambaM hemapariSkRtam । utpATayitvA vegena hanumAnpavanAtmajaH ॥ 5-43-17
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततस्तं भ्रामयामास शतधारं महाबलः । तत्र चाग्निस्समभवत्प्रासादश्चाप्यदह्यत ॥ ५-४३-१८
The mighty Hanuman holding that hundred edged pillar whirled it round (swiftly). Thereafter fire was generated (through friction) and with it the palace blazed. ॥ 5-43-18॥

tatastaM bhrAmayAmAsa zatadhAraM mahAbalaH । tatra cAgnissamabhavatprAsAdazcApyadahyata ॥ 5-43-18
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदह्यमानं ततो दृष्ट्वा प्रासादं हरियूथपः । स राक्षसशतं हत्त्वा वज्रेणेन्द्र इवासुरान् ॥ ५-४३-१९
Hanuman saw the palace burning. He killed a hundred demons there as Indra killed demons with his thunderbolt (The whirling pillar that generated fire appeared like a thunderbolt). ॥ 5-43-19॥

dahyamAnaM tato dRSTvA prAsAdaM hariyUthapaH । sa rAkSasazataM hattvA vajreNendra ivAsurAn ॥ 5-43-19
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअन्तरिक्षे स्थितश्श्तीमानिदं वचनमब्रवीत् । मादृशानां सहस्राणि विसृष्टानि महात्मनाम् ॥ ५-४३-२०
Later he stood in the air and proclaimed this 'Thousands of huge monkeys, equal to me, are coming . - ॥ 5-43-20॥

antarikSe sthitazztImAnidaM vacanamabravIt । mAdRzAnAM sahasrANi visRSTAni mahAtmanAm ॥ 5-43-20
