ततः कृत्वा महानादं सा वै लङ्का भयावहम् । तलेन वानरश्रेष्ठं ताडयामास वेगिता ॥ ५-३-३८

Then the ogress of Lanka made a loud and frightening sound and struck the most powerful vanara with the palm of her hand. ॥ 5-3-38॥
