स पाण्डुराविद्धविमानमालिनीं महार्हजाम्बूनदजालतोरणाम् । यशस्विनीं रावणबाहुपालितां क्षपाचरैर्भीमबलैः समावृताम् ॥ ५-२-५६

He found that famed place with a garland of tall, white mansions, conspicuous with archways latticed with gold strings, protected by mighty Ravana and surrounded by terrific demons. ॥ 5-2-56॥

चन्द्रोऽपि साचिव्यमिवास्य कुर्वंस्तारागणैर्मध्यगतो विराजन् । ज्योत्स्नावितानेन वितत्य लोक मुत्तिष्ठते नैकसहस्ररश्मि ॥ ५-२-५७

Even the Moon rose with thousands of rays in the centre of multitudes of stars overspreading and illumining the world with a canopy of bright beams, as if to render ministerial help to Hanuman. ॥ 5-2-57॥

candro'pi sAcivyamivAsya kurvaMstArAgaNairmadhyagato virAjan । jyotsnAvitAnena vitatya loka muttiSThate naikasahasrarazmi ॥ 5-2-57

शङ्खप्रभं क्षीरमृणालवर्ण मुद्गच्छमानं व्यवभासमानम् । ददर्श चन्द्रं स हरिप्रवीरः पोप्लूयमानं सरसीव हंसम् ॥ ५-२-५८

The heroic vanara saw the rising Moon flitting in and out shining like a fresh white conch, in the colour of milk and lotus stalks, bright like a swan floating in the lake like sky. ॥ 5-2-58॥

zaGkhaprabhaM kSIramRNAlavarNa mudgacchamAnaM vyavabhAsamAnam । dadarza candraM sa haripravIraH poplUyamAnaM sarasIva haMsam ॥ 5-2-58
