इदं महर्षिभिर्दृष्टं निर्याणमिति मे मतिः । सम्यगापः प्रवेक्ष्यामि न चेत्पश्यामि जानकीम् ॥ ५-१३-४३

sanskrit

'I shall enter water and drown myself to death if I am not able to find Janaki. I think this way of ending life has been suggested by great ascetics. ॥ 5-13-43॥

english translation

idaM maharSibhirdRSTaM niryANamiti me matiH । samyagApaH pravekSyAmi na cetpazyAmi jAnakIm ॥ 5-13-43
