अग्निमाधाय तं वेद्यां विधिमंत्रपुरस्कृतम् । जुहावाग्नौ महातेजा वशिष्ठो मुनिपुंगव ॥ १-७३-२४

Great resplendent, eminent-sage Vashishtha placed the fire on the altar, recited the mantras from the scriptures and offered oblations into the flame ( according to tradition ). ॥ 1-73-24॥
